North Carolina Loses CB Shankle For Year To Injury

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina cornerback Terry Shankle will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The redshirt freshman tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in the weekend win against William & Mary. The school says Shankle will have surgery to repair the ACL in the coming weeks.

Shankle had eight tackles and a pass breakup this season.
