The Washington High School wrestling team is holding its 9th annual tournament Saturday, January 4.
The event is in memory of Eli Saleeby Lee, a Pam Pack wrestler who tragically died in a 2005 car accident.
The tournament starts at 9 a.m. and normally runs through the afternoon. The school is located at 400 Slatestone Road in Washington.
Teams taking part in the tournament are Washington, Pamlico County, Hertford County, West Craven, White Oak, Edenton Holmes, Dixon, Ayden-Grifton, Nash Central and Greene Central.
The cost to get in is $7. All proceeds support the WHS wrestling team and the athletics booster club. There will be concessions as well.
