NC State Upends UMass 94-76

BAYAMON, Puerto Rico -- In Friday's 94-76 victory, NC State earned its first victory against Massachusetts in four series meetings.

Senior Scott Wood extended his streak of consecutive games with a 3-pointer to an ACC-best 30 games. His five 3-pointers are a season-high. His career best is seven versus Florida State (1/12/10) set as freshman in an 88-81 victory.
He is also the ACC's active career leader with 239.

NC State's 48 first-half points are the most scored by the Pack in a half through its first three games this season.

Freshman T.J. Warren has scored 43 points in Pack's two Puerto Rico Tip-Off games. Through the first three games this season, he has 51 points and is averaging 17.0 points per contest.

Junior Lorenzo Brown recorded his second career double-double with 11 points and 10 assists versus UMass.

NC State topped the 90-point barrier for the second time in its first three games. Last season, it only eclipsed that mark once in a 91-61 home win over Morehead State (11/13/11).

The Wolfpack scored a season-high 50 points in the paint against the Minutemen.

In every game this season, NC State has shot 50 percent or better from the field. Against UMass, the Wolfpack shot a .565 from the floor, its second best performance this year. In the season opener, NC State shot .614 from the field in the 97-59 win over Miami of Ohio.
