Golf Tournament Honors Former ECU Football Coach

Former East Carolina University football coach Rock Roggeman was honored Monday with the 4th annual Coach Rock Cancer Research Golf Classic at Ironwood Country Club in Greenville.

Proceeds from the tournament went to the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center at Vidant Hospital in Greenville.

Roggeman spent parts of 5 seasons with the Pirates from 2004-2009. He passed away in 2010 after a long battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Roggeman was 47 years old when he died.
