•East Carolina enters Wednesday night's game on the heels of an 83-73 loss at UCF on Saturday. The Pirates have dropped three of four since opening league play 3-2.
•UAB has won each of its last two games and three of its last four. The Blazers are coming off a 75-61 victory over Marshall at home Saturday.
•ECU is one game up on UAB in the C-USA standings. The Pirates are tied with Tulane for sixth place at 4-5, while the Blazers are in a three-way tie for third at 3-6.

•After scoring over 80 points in three of its first six Conference USA games, the Pirates have been held under 80 in four straight games. ECU has topped 80 points in 10 games this season (7-3).
•East Carolina broke a string of three straight games shooting under 30 percent behind the arc by connecting on 37.0 percent (10-27) of its 3s against UCF.
•The Pirates have won 10 of 11 games when leading at halftime this season. Their only loss was a one-point setback against UTEP.
•ECU has committed more turnovers than its opponents five times during conference play.
•East Carolina has mad 10 3-pointers in a game six times this season and has compiled a 4-2 mark in those games. It has also accumulated a 7-4 record when making seven or more.

•Paul enters Wednesday's game 19 helpers shy of sixth-place, currently occupied by Lester Lyons, on the school's all-time list.
•He currently has the highest career assist average in school history with 6.02.
