RALEIGH, NC – The National Hockey League has announced that today’s postponed game between the Flyers and Hurricanes at Wells Fargo Center has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. In addition, the league announced that the Hurricanes’ scheduled home game against the Ottawa Senators on Friday night has been moved to Saturday, Jan. 25, at noon.
The Hurricanes understand that the postponement may cause inconveniences for some fans holding tickets to the Senators game originally scheduled for Jan. 24. With that in mind, fans may come to the PNC Arena box office during regularly scheduled business hours to exchange their unused ticket to the Senators game for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any of the team’s remaining Friday night games (1/31, 2/7, 3/7). In addition to that option, season ticket holders retain the option to exchange their tickets via the season ticket holder exchange program. Finally, the team will offer $2 sodas and $1 popcorn for all fans in attendance on Saturday afternoon.
Wednesday’s game will be televised by FOX Sports Carolinas, though channel locations on some carriers may vary from normal. Channel information will be announced via the team’s social media outlets and on the broadcast information page at CarolinaHurricanes.com as soon as it is available.
Friday’s game had to be moved due to a league rule preventing teams from playing games on three consecutive days. The Hurricanes face the Buffalo Sabres at First Niagara Center on Thursday at 7 p.m. (SportSouth, Hurricanes Radio Network). Saturday afternoon’s game against Ottawa will air on FOX Sports Carolinas.
