Wolfpack Names Daniel Evans Starting Quarterback

Daniel Evans is taking up where he left off in 2006.

The North Carolina State junior will start at quarterback when the Wolfpack plays Central Florida on Saturday. That's according to new N.C. State coach Tom O'Brien.

Evans, who started nine games last year, beat out Nebraska transfer Harrison Beck and Justin Burke for the starting job. O'Brien says Evans shouldn't be looking over his shoulder.

Evans threw for 1,843 yards last year, leading the Wolfpack to
comeback wins against Boston College and Florida State.
