O's To Keep Trembley In '08

Baltimore, MD - The Baltimore Orioles announced today that Dave
Trembley will return next season as manager.
The 55-year-old Trembley took over on the bench June 18th after
Sam Perlozzo was fired. On July 31st, MacPhail
assured him that he'd be allowed to finish the current season. The
Os considered the possibility of conducting a managerial search
during the offseason, but Trembley's no-nonsense manner and
surprising success have earned him an extended look.
Baltimore had lost eight consecutive games and had a 29-and-40
record when Perlozzo was dismissed. The Orioles are 29-and-25 with
Trembley at the helm.
