Winston-Salem, NC - Wake Forest has called a news conference for
tomorrow, when the school is expected to introduce a successor to
basketball coach Skip Prosser.
Prosser died July 26th of an apparent heart attack at the age of
56. He went 126-and-68 in six seasons with the Demon Deacons and
was 291-and-146 as a college coach.
Wake Forest associate head coaches Dino Gaudio and Jeff Battle
are believed to be among the top candidates to replace Prosser, as
is assistant Pat Kelsey.
The Deacons won the ACC regular-season title in 2003 and reached
the NCAA tournament in their first four seasons under Prosser. Wake
Forest reached number-one in the AP poll for the first time during
the 2004-05 season.
