Baseball commissioner Bud Selig will follow Barry Bonds' home run chase through the San Francisco Giants' weekend series in San Diego.
Bonds entered tonight's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers with 754 home runs, one short of tying Hank Aaron's record.
Selig had planned to fly to Minneapolis on Thursday to participate in the Twins' groundbreaking for a new stadium. But that was canceled Wednesday because of the bridge collapse in Minneapolis.
It was not immediately known whether Selig would stay in Los Angeles for the series finale Thursday night. Bonds went 0-for-2 with two walks Tuesday. He flied to right in his first at-bat tonight.
