Celtics Looking More Like A Contender

The reported N-B-A trade sending Kevin Garnett from Minnesota to Boston has been finalized. The Timberwolves get five players and two draft picks in the deal that transforms the Celtics into an instant contender.

Boston gives up forwards Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes and Gerald Green, guard Sebastian Telfair and center Theo Ratliff as well as two first-round draft picks for the former league M-V-P and ten-time All-Star.

Garnett joins a club that already has All Stars Paul Pierce and Ray Allen on the roster.

Boston has won a record 16 N-B-A championships but none in more
than two decades.
