NASCAR driver Carl Edwards was released from an Omaha hospital early this morning after being injured last night in a dirt track race, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Details of the injury have not been made available, but Edwards'
younger brother Kenny told the Omaha World-Herald it could be a
dislocated thumb, caught in the steering wheel during a crash.
Edwards is currently ranked fifth in the Nextel Cup standings and leads the Busch standings. He was scheduled to be in Milwaukee today for performance testing.
