Bonds' Drought Is Over

Barry Bonds has pulled to within three home runs of Hank Aaron's alltime record.

The San Francisco slugger returned to the starting lineup for the first time in three games and belted a solo shot off Cubs left-hander Ted Lilly in the second inning of Thursday afternoon's matinee at Wrigley Field.

Bonds' 752nd homer was his first since July third and ended an 0-for-21 streak at the plate.

The soon-to-be 43-year-old outfielder was limited to one pinch-hit appearance over the first three games of the series while resting his sore legs.
