Bonds Scratched From Starting Lineup

Mired in an 0-for-20 slump, Barry Bonds has been scratched from the Giants' starting lineup for Monday night's game against the Cubs in Chicago.

Bonds was originally listed in the cleanup spot and left field for the opener of the four-game series.

Bonds, who turns 43 next week, has 751 home runs -- four shy of
tying Hank Aaron's all-time record. He hasn't homered since July
third in Cincinnati.

Over the weekend, Bonds played 30 innings as the Giants got swept in a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
