Philadelphia's Ryan Howard will be among the sluggers looking to splash a few homers into San Francisco Bay tonight.
The Phillies' first baseman is the defending champion of the All-Star Home Run Derby, which takes place this evening at A-T-and-T Park.
Joining Howard on the N-L Derby roster are St. Louis' Albert Pujols N-L home run leader Prince Fielder of Milwaukee and Colorado's Matt Holliday. Holliday replaces Miguel Cabrera of Florida who was scratched because of a shoulder injury.
The American League participants include Minnesota's Justin Morneau, Vladimir Guerrero of the Angels, Detroit's Magglio Ordonez and Toronto's Alex Rios.
Howard won last year's contest in Pittsburgh with 24 homers.
Barry Bonds is passing on the Derby. The San Francisco slugger enters the All-Star break four homers shy of Hank Aaron's all-time
mark of 755.
