Southern Pines, NC - Jiyai Shin birdied the last hole she played before darkness set in and has a one-shot lead midway through the third round of the suspended U-S Women's Open. She was at five under par through ten holes.
That's one shot head of world number-one Lorena Ochoa
Cristie Kerr and 36-hole leader Angela
Park. Ochoa is seeking her first major title.
Kerr, often overlooked in the search for next female American
golf star, is five under for her round through 13 holes.
One shot behind at three under was Morgan Pressel, the
19-year-old American who in April became the youngest L-P-G-A major
champion in history.
The field gets an early start Sunday to finish their third round
before the scheduled final round.
Coverage begins at 3pm on WITN.
