The Chicago Bears have cut defensive tackle Tank Johnson. Earlier this month, N-F-L commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Johnson for half of the upcoming regular season for violating the league's toughened personal conduct policy.
At the time of the suspension Johnson, who recently spent two months in the Cook County jail for violating probation, called his suspension an "opportunity for me to move forward."
Just last Friday he was pulled over by police in suburban Phoenix for speeding. The arresting officer made observations that led him to believe Johnson was impaired.
