Omaha - Greenville's Alex White will get another shot in the postseason despite struggling against ECU in the regionals, South Carolina in the supers, and Rice in the CWS. White will be Saturday night's starting pitcher for the Tar Heels when they take the field in game one of the National Championship Series against defending champion Oregon State.

Alex says he's ready to prove he's better than what he's shown so far in the postseason, "I just want a chance to prove myself. I've been struggling. I know it, everybody knows it. I just want a chance to go out there and show the coaches and the fans that I can get it done."

Fellow pitcher Robert Woodard says White is due, "He's my roommate. I told him we wouldn't be here without him. He's proved himself and deserves to get the ball in relief. I told him we need him to win the national championship and that you'll get your chance to help."

Game time is set for 7pm and can be seen on ESPN
