Canes Sign Winger Scott Walker to 3 Year Deal

Raleigh - The Carolina Hurricanes and Scott Walker
have reached agreement on a three-year contract. The veteran winger
could have become an unrestricted free agent July first.
The deal will pay Walker two-point-five (m) million dollars per
Carolina acquired Walker from Nashville last summer. He ended up
scoring 21 goals and dishing out 30 assists with 45 penalty minutes
in 81 games. He also brought needed toughness to a roster built
primarily on speed.
Walker will be entering his 13th N-H-L season this fall.
