Omaha - The North Carolina Tar Heels beat Louisville 3-1 Tuesday to stay alive in the College World Series. UNC fell behind 1-0 after a Logan Johnson homer in the first. The Heels bounced back in the 2nd after Seth Williams tied the game with an r-b-i single. The Cardinals then got sloppy with a Garrett Gore grounder to third, the throw ended up down the right field line allowing two Tar Heels to touch home and take the 3-1 lead. UNC closer Andrew Carrignan closed out the game in the 9th as the Tar Heels advance to the bracket final against Rice. They'll have to beat the Owls twice over the next two days starting Wednesday at 2pm. The game is being televised on ESPN 2.
