Baddeley Holds 2 Shot Lead, Tiger in the Hunt at U.S. Open

Oakmont, PA - Aaron Baddeley is the surprise leader by two
shots after the third round of the 107th U-S Open. Baddeley birdied
his final hole and shot even-par 70 to take the 54-hole lead at two
over par.
Tiger Woods is alone in second. Woods shot a one-under 69 on the
difficult course at Oakmont Country Club outside Pittsburgh. Woods
is gunning for his third U-S Open title. Woods had back-to-back
birdies on three and four and hit 17 of 18 greens in regulation.
He's plus-four for the tournament. His only bogey was on the 18th.
Woods has never won a major when trailing after three rounds.
He's oh-for-28 in that category. He's 12-for-12 in majors when
leading after three rounds.
Stephen Ames, Justin Rose, Paul Casey and Bubba Watson are three
shots off the lead. Second-round leader Angel Cabrera bogeyed his last two holes in his six-over 76 round
and is four behind Baddeley. Jim Furyk and Steve
Stricker are also four off the lead.
