Arizona Takes Worthington in Baseball Draft

Greenville - South Central two sport standout Tyrell Worthington was taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 5th round of the MLB Draft in Orlando on Thursday. Worthington signed a national letter of intent to play football at East Carolina next season and had also planned to play baseball for the Pirates as well.
Also from the draft, the New York Yankees selected N.C. State pitcher Andrew Brackman with the last pick of the first round (30th overall).
