Keyshawn Johnson Retires

Former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson is retiring from pro football.

Two people familiar with the decision tell The Associated Press that Johnson will make the announcement later today at a news conference at the University of Southern California, where he starred in college before eleven seasons in the N-F-L.

E-S-P-N-dot-com first reported Johnson's retirement. He's joining E-S-P-N as a sportscaster.

Johnson worked last month's N-F-L draft for E-S-P-N, which was
impressed enough to offer him a job. He was released by the Carolina Panthers days afterwards.

Johnson turns 35 in July. He visited the Tennessee Titans on Friday and met with coaches and watched film. The team did not make a formal offer.
