Anthony Atkinson is not your average six foot seven basketball player in fact he is far from that, at only five foot nine. Atkinson finished his college career leading the Barton Bulldogs to a Division II National Championship in 2007.
After the world watched his performance it was obvious Atkinson had bigger and better things to come. Now going into his third season with the Harlem Globetrotters, Atkinson is fortunate to have all the experience that comes with being a trotter... including traveling the world.
“Lil Ant” as his mom has referred to him since he was a boy is the talk of the town. He still comes back to shoot hoops at his old high school, Greenfield and helps out with the team. He still brings a crowd out even when he just shoots around. That is when he isn’t traveling around the world entertaining families playing basketball.
With a national championship ring and the signature red, white and blue uniform Anthony Atkinson is still Wilson’s hometown all-star basketball player.
