Greenville All-Stars Still Alive In Babe Ruth World Series

Jamestown, NY - Greenville's 13 and under all-stars have their work cut out for them after dropping their second straight game in the Babe Ruth World Series on Tuesday.

Sikeston, Missourit bested the Southeast champs 8-6 in pool play, dropping Greenville to 1-2 overall with one game to play. The top three advance from each of the two divisions.

Greenville has to win their final game and hope Westchester, California loses their remaing game against Jamestown to advance to the single elimination round. If both Greenville and California lose, the three-way tie-breaker scenario is fewest runs allowed. Greenville currently has allowed fewer runs than California.

College Point beat Westchester 7-6 late Tuesday by scoring 2 runs in the 7th to keep Greenville's hopes alive.

Jehneil House had two hits for Greenville who fell behind 8-1 before rallying to trim the lead to two.

Next up for Greenville is College Point, NY at 5:30 Wednesday.
