Live Oak, FL - The Greenville 13 and under all-stars beat Great Falls, Virgina to win the Babe Ruth Southeast Regional title by the score of 10-7 in 8 innings Tuesday morning.
Pitcher Thomas Conlin picked up the win on the mound. The game had plenty of dramatics. Greenville trailed 7-6 in the top of the 7th, down to their final out before Jehneil House singled to right field to score the tying run. In the top of the 8th ( extra innings) Greenville loaded the bases loaded with 2 outs, Parker Jerinigan hit a double to empty the bases and lift Greenville to the win.
With the win, Greenville advances to Jamestown, NY for the Babe Ruth 13 and under World Series next weekend. Game one of the World Series is set for noon on Saturday August 16th.
