Greenville's Will MacKenzie In Hunt At Canadian Open

Canada's own Mike Weir is tied for the first-round clubhouse lead at the Canadian Open with Anthony Kim and Eric Axley. They each shaved six shots from par at the Glenn Abbey Golf Course, where play is being held up by lightning.

Greenville native Will MacKenzie is tied for 32nd place after shooting a one under par 70. MacKenzie bogeyed the first hole but rebounded with birdies on holes #5 and #7. MacKenzie then bogeted #11 and #16 before closing the round out with consecutive birdies.

MacKenzie is fresh off his best finish of the year at the John Deere Classic where he finished tied for 4th place.
