Giants Send Shockey Packing

The New York Giants have sent tight end Jeremy Shockey to the New Orleans Saints for a pair of draft picks. The four-time Pro Bowl player had 371 catches for 4,228 yards and 27 touchdowns in six seasons with the Giants, but he missed the end of the team's Super Bowl run after breaking a leg against the Redskins in mid-December.

The Giants will get the Saints' second and fifth-round selections in the 2009 draft if the league approves the trade and Shockey passes a physical.
