ECU's Meet The Pirates Scheduled For Aug. 16
14th Annual Event Will Kickoff ECU's 2008 Season For Fans.

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The 14th Annual Meet the Pirates Night, East Carolina's preseason football fanfest, has been set for Saturday, Aug. 16, at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium from 6-8 p.m. This year's event will feature new and exciting activities for fans to enjoy.
Pirate football fans are invited to bring the whole family for a fun and entertaining event and to get to know the 2008 ECU football team along with head coach Skip Holtz and staff. Activities will include entertainment by Captain Jim the Pirate, inflatable rides and games, photo taking stations, ECU Cheerleaders, ARAMARK concessions, Dowdy Student Stores souvenir booth and an autograph session with the football Pirates.
Meet the Pirates Fan Fest will be held at the scoreboard end of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The event kicks off at 6p.m. and is open to the public (no tickets will be sold for this event). Fans are asked to enter through Gate 7.
The Pirates open the 2008 home schedule September 6 against the West Virginia Mountaineers. Ticket information is available online at ecupirates.com or by calling the ticket office at 1-800-DIAL-ECU.
