Former ECU Head Coach Thompson Lands In Atlanta

Former ECU football coach John Thompson is on the move again, this time landing in Atlanta, Georgia where he's taken the defensive coordinator job at Georgia State.

Thompson is teaming up with former Alabama head coach Bill Curry as they build the Panther program from scratch. Georgia state begins Division II play in 2010. Thompson and Curry are long time friends, Curry even visited Greenville to speak to Thompson's Pirates back in 2003.

"J-T" has made stops at South Carolina, Arkansas State, Ole Miss, and now Georgia State since leaving the Pirates in '04 where he left with a 3-20 record.
