Former ECU Pirate Vonta Leach will hold his annual football camp this weekend at South Robeson High School in Rowland. The Houston Texans' Fullback will also host a benefit basketball game Friday night with former Pirate teammate and Jacksonville Jaguar Quarterback David Garrard along with several other NFL players.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the cost of admission is $5 for anyone 17-and-under and $10 for adults. An autograph session with the NFL players is scheduled for halftime.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Vonta Leach Foundation, which will present seven $500 college scholarships to Robeson County students during the basketball game.
Leach, Garrard, and the NFL players will coach the kids in the camp wich starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at South Robeson. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and is free.
