Camp Lejeune Hosts Celebrity Golf Tournament

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and the
Jacksonville Country Club are scheduled to host the Fifth Annual Marine
Corps Celebrity Classic, June 4 -8.

The tournament starts June 5 at 9 a.m. at both the Paradise Point
Golf Course aboard Camp Lejeune and off base at the Jacksonville Country Club.

Of the more than 50 celebrities scheduled to attend this year's
event are football greats Jim McMahon and Dwight Clark, basketball giant
Truck Robinson, all-star baseball catcher Mickey Tettleton, and film actor
John Ashton, who played roles in "Gone Baby Gone" and "Beverly Hills Cops II."

Proceeds from the golf tournament will go to three different charitable organizations serving the U.S. military.

Free sports clinics on tennis, golf, skateboarding and roller hockey
will be hosted by high profile sports celebrities both on base and in
Jacksonville during the week (see schedule for times and locations below, or at http://www.mcccgolf.com/pages/clinics.html.)

Back by popular demand is the Family Night with the Stars. Beginning
at 6:30 p.m., June 7 at the parade field aboard Camp Lejeune, this event
will offer live music by The Karg Boys, free food and fireworks. As always, the celebrities at this event will be very approachable and very accessible.

Admission to the tournament, sports clinics and Family Night with

Spectators attending events should not bring knives or weapons of
any kind. Security officials will be conducting random searches throughout the course of the tournament.

Roller Hockey Hosted by Darren Veitch at the MCAS New River Roller Hockey Rink, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
