Conway, SC - The ECU Baseball team's run in the NCAA regionals came to an abrupt hault Sunday night thanks to a 24 run effort from Coastal Carolina. The Pirates jumped out to an early 4-1 lead thanks to a 3-run homer from Corey Kemp, his 18th of the season.
The wheels fell off in the second inning after Coastal Carolina plated 13 runs to blow the game over. The Pirates rallied to within 8 but could get no closer before finally falling 24-11. Coastal advances to the super regional in Cary where they'll face UNC.
