Eastern Carolina Baseball Teams Play In State Playoffs

Two high school baseball teams from Eastern Carolina will play in the 92nd annual state baseball championship series.

4-A J.H. Rose from Greenville and 3-A Rocky Mount will play at Five County Stadium in Zebulon this weekend. The stadium is home to the Carolina Mudcats.

Rocky Mount's first game is at 5 p.m. Friday. The Gryphons will take on East Rowan.

Rose plays its first game at 8 p.m. Friday. The Rampants will meet up on the diamond with Ardrey Kell from Charlotte.

We'll will bring you live coverage from Zebulon on WITN News at 5:00, 5:30 and 6:00 Friday.

The series are best of three.

Rose will play again at 2 p.m. on Saturday. A possible third game will be at either 5 p.m. or 8 p.m. Saturday.

Rocky Mount will play again at 11 a.m. Saturday. A possible third game will be at 5 p.m.
