Mount Olive/USC Aiken Postponed In Title Game

The championship game of the NCAA II Baseball South Atlantic Regional has been suspended and the game will be resumed Monday at 11 a.m. at Scarborough Field. Mount Olive was leading USC Aiken 4-2 and batting in the top of the eighth when the game was halted at 7:09 p.m. due to the weather. Admission is free for the conclusion of the game. No. 1 seed and nationally top-ranked Mount Olive forced a winner-takes-all championship game with a 13-2 victory over No. 3 seed USC Aiken in Sunday's first game. Making his first collegiate start, Kyle Jones (pictured) took a perfect game into the fifth inning and tossed a complete game four-hitter.
