The Kinston Indians Radio Network is doubling in size, adding WJNC 1240 AM Jacksonville and WECU 1570 AM Greenville to the broadcast family for the 2008 Carolina League season. Both stations will air all Friday, Saturday and Sunday K-Tribe games this season. Close to half of the 140 regular season K-Tribe games from April through September will be heard on both stations.
New Bern’s WWNB 1490 AM will expand their K-Tribe coverage this season, airing all 140 regular season games in 2008. Kinston’s WRNS 960 AM will once again carry all 140 regular season games in Lenoir County.
Chris Hemeyer is returning for his third season as the voice of the K-Tribe, announcing all 140 games both home and away. The K-Tribe Pre-Game show begins 15 minutes before the start of each game. Most broadcasts Monday through Friday will start at 6:45 pm, with Sunday broadcasts usually starting at 1:45 pm.
