John Fields Leaving ECU

On Tuesday WITN first told you that ECU sophomore guard Brandon Evans will transfer to another school. On Wednesday the WITN sports team learned that another Pirate sophomore basketball player will follow suit.

Sources tell WITN that forward John Fields will not be with the Pirates next season and that the decision to part ways is a mutual decision between Fields and the ECU coaching staff.

John Fields earned Conference USA All-Freshman honors following the 2006-07 season averaging nearly ten points per game. This season Fields was second on the team in scoring and rebounding and led the team with 56 blocked shots.

We wish John well, but think he is making a big mistake. If he finds a coach that doesn't "yell" at him, he will end up on a losing situation in all probability
