Fontana, CA - It took NASCAR officials all night to figure out what most had already planned for, that the Auto Zone 500 would be pushed back until Monday afternoon. Officials finally made the decision to postpone the second Sprint Cup race of the season at 2am Monday morning leaving many fans to scratch their heads as to why it took so long to make the decision. The race was delayed nearly 3 hours before 88 laps were run when the rains returned. NASCAR pushed back the start time several different times during the night before finally calling it a day nearly 12 hours after the origiinal start time.
Jimmie Johnson was leading the race when it was haulted.
