Wake Forest won its third straight, improved to 14-1 on its home
court and snapped a five-game losing streak in the series on the
strength of a 17-2 run midway through the second half. The Demon
Deacons used a smothering defense to force the Blue Devils into a
season-high 22 turnovers.
Freshman Nolan Smith scored a season-high 21 points for the Blue
Devils, who had all five starters foul out.
Duke lost for the fourth time in five visits to Winston-Salem.
