Wake Forest Stuns #2 Duke

Jeff Teague scored 26 points and Wake
Forest shocked No. 2 Duke 86-73, ending the Blue Devils' 12-game
winning streak.
It was also the first big victory for first-year coach Dino
Gaudio, successor to the late Skip Prosser.
James Johnson added 24 points for the Demon Deacons, who claimed
their first victory against a top-five team since they also knocked
off the then-No. 4 Blue Devils on Feb. 2, 2005.
Wake Forest won its third straight, improved to 14-1 on its home
court and snapped a five-game losing streak in the series on the
strength of a 17-2 run midway through the second half. The Demon
Deacons used a smothering defense to force the Blue Devils into a
season-high 22 turnovers.
Freshman Nolan Smith scored a season-high 21 points for the Blue
Devils, who had all five starters foul out.
Duke lost for the fourth time in five visits to Winston-Salem.
