Canes Steal One From Islanders

New York - The Carolina Hurricanes skated past the New York Islanders 3-2 Monday afternoon to pick up their 24th win of the season. Carolina trailed 2-0 heading in the third before goals from Mike Commodore and Niclas Walin tied it at 2 sending the game to overtime. In OT, the Canes took advantage of a power play opportunity as Cory Stillman's wrist shot early in the extra period ended it 3-2. The same two teams will skate at the RBC Center Tuesday night.
