Fox Encouraged With Youthful Play

DeAngelo Williams ran for 121 yards and a
pair of second-half touchdowns to lead Carolina past Tampa Bay
31-23.
Matt Moore was effective for the Panthers, throwing for 174
yards and a pair of TDs. Moore hit Christian Fauria and Dante
Rosario for scores in the opening half before Williams helped
Carolina erase a 20-17 deficit in the second half.
Luke McCown threw for 236 yards, two touchdowns and an
interception for the Buccaneers, who dropped their last two playoff
tuneups to finish the regular season 9-and-7.
Vinny Testaverde (tes-tuh-VUR'-dee) entered the game after the
Panthers stopped Tampa Bay's final drive on downs with 35 seconds
remaining. The 44-year-old quarterback took a knee on the last
play, his final action as an NFL quarterback
