North Carolina, Memphis and Kansas are the top
three teams in The Associated Press men's basketball poll for a
fourth straight week. All three went 2-and-0 last week.
The 11-and-0 Tar Heels received 47 first-place votes from the
72-member national media panel. At 10-and-0, Memphis was Number-1
on 24 ballots.
Kansas improved to 12-and-0 and got the only other first-place
Washington State moves up three spots to a school-high Number-4
ranking and is followed by UCLA, Pittsburgh, Michigan State,
Georgetown, Texas and Duke.
Tennessee was 11th followed by Marquette, Indiana, Texas A&M,
Vanderbilt, Butler, Arizona, Villanova, Miami and BYU.
The last five ranked teams are Clemson, Mississippi, West
Virginia, Southern California and Rhode Island.
Mississippi and Rhode Island both cracked the Top 25 for the
first time this season.
