'Canes Fall To Lightning

Power-play goals by Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis gave
Tampa Bay a 2-1 triumph over Carolina.

Lecavalier notched his 19th goal of the season, beating Cam Ward with four minutes left in the second period. St. Louis provided the eventual game-winner, scoring with 7:15 left to put the Lightning ahead 2-0.

Lecavalier and St. Louis assisted on each other's goals as Tampa Bay won its third in a row since a six-game losing streak.

Johan Holmqvist turned back 23 shots and was perfect until Cory Stillman scored with 14 seconds left.

Ward stopped 30 shots in the Hurricanes' fourth loss in six games.
