Louisville's Kragthorpe Taking Proactive Approach

Louisville football coach Steve Kragthorpe held a news conference today to knock down speculation that he's leaving for SMU.

Kragthorpe is in the first year of a five-year deal with the Cardinals.

He came to Louisville from Tulsa and inherited a team that went 12-and-1 and was coming off a win in last season's Orange Bowl. But the team has struggled under his guidance, tumbling out of the preseason polls with a shaky defense and upset losses at home to Syracuse and Utah.

Louisville is currently 5-and-6 heading into next week's season-finale against Rutgers on Thursday night.
