Hawks Fly Past Bobcats

Season's best performances from Joe Johnson and Josh Childress led the Atlanta Hawks to a 117-109 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Johnson scored 34 points and Childress added 23 for the Hawks, who never trailed.

It may have been a costly victory for the Hawks as starters Josh Smith and Acie Law went down with injuries. Smith, who had 15 points and five blocks, left in the third quarter with a strained left quadriceps. Law also left in the third quarter with an ankle sprain.

Gerald Wallace and Jason Richardson led the Bobcats with 27
points apiece.
