Hansbrough Leads Voting For AP Preseason All-America Team

 UNC Tarheels

North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough has come up one vote shy of being a unanimous pick for the AP men's preseason All-America basketball squad. He averaged 18.4 points and 7.9 rebounds last season.

The 6-foot-9 Tar Heel is joined on the first team by UCLA guard and fellow junior, Darren Collison.

Three seniors round out the select squad: 7-foot-2 Roy Hibbert of Georgetown, Tennessee guard Chris Lofton and Michigan State guard Drew Neitzel.

The team is selected by the 72-member panel that votes in the weekly Top 25 poll.

Hibbert received 62 votes, one more than Lofton, while Neitzel was on 37 ballots and Collison was on 31. The next-highest vote-getter was Brandon Rush of Kansas with 23.
