Texans coach Gary Kubiak says Matt Schaub probably won't play Sunday against Oakland. Houston's number-one quarterback is still feeling the effects of a concussion from a helmet-to-helmet hit during last Sunday's game.
Schaub, who has started every game for the Texans since coming over from Atlanta in an offseason trade, says his health has improved dramatically since Sunday and he's listing himself as day to day.
It was the second straight week he'd been knocked out of the game by a helmet-to-helmet blow.
If Schaub can't go against the Raiders, Kubiak will likely give Sage Rosenfels his third career start. It would be his first since a 22-0 loss to Cleveland in 2005 when he was with Miami.
