The East Carolina women's basketball team will make two television appearances in 2007-08, as released by Conference USA.
The Lady Pirates makes their first of two television appearance on Feb. 10, when the team travels to El Paso, Texas for a 2:00 p.m. EST tip-off against UTEP. The Pirates played on the Deuce three times last season, going 2-1 including the C-USA Championship game. This marks the second straight season that ECU will be featured on the ESPN network.
ECU then travels to Birmingham for a CSTV game on Feb. 21 in a rematch of the C-USA semi-final contest against UAB. East Carolina had two games on CSTV last season, including the semi-finals of the C-USA Championships, in which the Pirates won 85-81.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to be on ESPN and CSTV again this season,” head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener said. “Conference USA is going to be tough this season and both of these games on television against UTEP and UAB should be great games for the fans to watch."
CSTV will carry the two semifinal games of the 2008 C-USA Women's Basketball Tournament, while ESPN2 will pick up the championship game live on March 9.
The Lady Pirates will officially begin their quest to repeat as Conference USA champions on Nov. 11 as the team hosts Presbyterian in the season opener. Tip-off from Minges Coliseum is set for 2:00 p.m.
