Garrard Has MRI

The Jacksonville Jaguars are anxious to determine the extent of David Garrard's ankle injury. Their starting quarterback sprained his left ankle in Monday night's 29-7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and had an MRI exam today.

Garrard limped into the locker room following a second-quarter sack, got his ankle re-taped and returned to the game. However, swelling increased during halftime, forcing Garrard back to the bench. He finished 8-of-12 passing for 72 yards.

Coach Jack Del Rio says Garrard likely will miss at least one game, adding he expects to have an update and a timetable for Garrard's return sometime tomorrow.

The 4-and-2 Jaguars open a three-game road trip Sunday at Tampa Bay, where Quinn Gray is expected to make his first NFL start. He was 9-of-24 for 56 yards with two interceptions Monday night.
