David Garrard Sprains Ankle In Loss To Colts

Former ECU quarterback and current Jacksonville Jaguars starter David Garrard was sacked in the second quarter of a 29-7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and limped to the sidelines. Garrard returned for a few plays later in the first half but did not return to the field in the second half.

In a returned text message to WITN Garrard said "Just a sprained ankle. I'll be fine."

Garrard finished the night 8-of-12 passing for 72 yards and remains one of only two quarterbacks in the NFL to have not thrown an interception this season. Garrard's replacement Quinn Gray threw two interceptions in the loss.

Colts quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 259 yards, one touchdown and one interception while leading the Colts to a 6-0 record.
